Bobby Brown: I started frying Chicken with Cocaine at 10

Bobby Brown just can’t stop talking! The husband of late Whitney Elizabeth Houston is making a fortune from his book ‘Every Little Step’ where he made a lot of daring revelations about his life, his wife and family.

Now, he reveals he has been taking Cocaine, which his mother sold to sustain the family as early as when he was 10 years old.

‘Someone should shut him up already’, an angry Whitney Houston fan was quoted as saying, ‘I don’t know why people buy his stupid book’.

Bobby Brown made cocaine-coated fried chicken when he was 10 years old.

The Two Can Play That Game hitmaker didn’t realise his mother sold the drug to support his family, and one day when his parents were out, he decided to cook dinner, using a recipe his mom had shown him.

However, Bobby, now 47, mistook a bag of cocaine for the flour he needed to coat the poultry with before putting it in the pan.

He recalled in his new book, Every Little Step: My Story: “I decided to use the large bag of flour I found in the freezer to make some fried chicken. I got the chicken parts out of the refrigerator and covered a bunch of pieces in the flour. Then I dropped them in a pan of sizzling oil.

“I was 10. So I didn’t realise the strangely pungent smell emanating from the pan. When the chicken pieces were nice and brown, I figured I was done.”

The New Edition singer felt increasingly “weird” as he devoured his meal, and his mother was horrified when she realised what had happened.

He continued: “After I had taken a few bites and feeling weirder with each bite, my mother walked in the door. At first she was smiling at the idea that her little Bobby had made dinner.

“Then her gaze swept across the kitchen as she got hit with the full brunt of the scene, the smell, the mess, the powder. With horror, she realised what I had done. I fried chicken in her cocaine – a radical new addition to the family’s culinary offerings. Cocaine chicken.”

Bobby insisted his mother never explained what had happened, but he was able to figure it out eventually.

He added: “It wasn’t until months later that I truly understood what was going on in my home.”

In a recent interview promoting his memoir, musical artist Bobby Brown disclosed that his ex-wife, the late Whitney Houston, was “bisexual,” and claimed that the longstanding rumors about her romantic partnership with her best friend, Robyn Crawford, were true. “We were married for 14 years,” he said.

“There are some things we talked about that were personal to us.” Crawford has never confirmed she had a romantic relationship with Whitney.

As an out-and-proud black queer femme and Whitney fan, I want to say to Brown: Back off and keep Houston’s secrets to yourself. It’s never the job of cisgender heterosexual men to publicly label black women’s sexuality, queer or otherwise. Doing so continues black patriarchal privilege.
