  ROY HODGSON RESIGNS AS ENGLAND’S COACH…SAYS IT’S “TIME FOR SOMEONE ELSE TO OVERSEE THE PROGRESS…” 




England’s coach, Roy Hodgson, has forced himself to give up his job after facing an humiliating defeat from a country with 330, 000 people, and coupled with the fact that Roy Hodgson has only won three matches 11 games in major tournaments. Hodgson was Fabio Capello’s successor when he signed a 4-year appointment with the English national team four years ago.


Hodgson said: “I’m sorry it will have to end this way but these things happen. I hope you will still be able to see an England team in a final of a major tournament soon. Now is the time for someone else to oversee the progress of a hungry and extremely talented group of players. They have done fantastically, and done everything asked of them.”



Hodgson, who won 33 of his 56 games in charge of the English team, would have been out of contract at the end of the tournament and was set to have talks over having it renewed
