DJ Obi is Almost Halfway There! WATCH BOJ, B-Red & More Show Support for #DJObiWorldRecord

If you haven’t heard by now, Nigerian DJ Obi is attempting to break the Guinness World Record for longest DJ set.  He’s DJing for 24 hours straight for 10 days as he attempts to break the current record, which was set in Dublin, Ireland in 2014, and stands at eight days.DJ Obi World Record

He can only take a 20 minute break every four hours or one hour break after 12 hours.

At 11:30p.m today – on Monday, June 27th DJ Obi would have hit the five-day mark! That’s half-way, how amazing.

What’s it like to DJ for 24 hours a day? Let’s just say it involves swollen feet, rising blood pressure, lots of Vitamin C and much needed love from family, friends and fans. Not to worry, doctors are keeping a close eye on DJ Obi’s health as the days go on.DJ Obi World Record_

Among the supporters who have stopped by in the past two days include Olamide, DJ Eni Money, Yung 6ix, Ycee, Tiwa Savage, Iceberg Slim, DJ Jimmy Jatt, Olu Maintain, Beat FM’s Douglas Jekan and Gbemi Olateru-Olagbegi, Boj, Teezee, 24’s Tayo, Toke Makinwa, DJ Caise, MI, Sasha P, Noble Igwe, Shaydee, Adekunle Gold, Burna Boy, Phyno and Ebuka Obi-Uchendu.

It’s been an endless stream of supporters but we still need you, yes you! If you haven’t already stopped by, make sure to make your way to Sao Cafe in Lekki, and as always, if you can’t make it in, send us some love on social media. Come witness history.DJ Obi World Record_DSC08701

Here’s the video of Day 3 – 48 to 72 hours in. Remember, he’s trying to make it to 240!
