 Wizkid Calls Seyi Shay A Liar For Saying Drake’s ‘One Dance’ Belongs To Him


Beautiful singer-songwriter Seyi Shay, on her trip Jamaica had an interview on Akademiks show called On Stage, that Drake’s hit song, ‘One Dance’ was actually owned by Wizkid but gave it to the Canadian rapper, Drake. Seyi Shay also claimed that Legendury Beatz and a few producers worked on the track which was later reproduced to fit Drake’s style.


In the interview, she said “Drake sampled Afrobeats, It was actually Wizkid’s song so it was not Drake’s song, I don’t know if I can I talk about this but it’s actually Wizkid’s song, Wizkid wrote it, Legendary Beats and some other Nigerian producers produced it as an Afrobeat song and they stripped a lot of the music away…”








Seyi Shay later apologised that she was misinformed and apologized, Wizkid also came out to show love to her as we all know that they are both Pepsi ambassadors.

Seyi Shay tenders apology to Wizkid, 'I was misinformed' Last night, Seyi Shay found herself in a sorry moment when she alleged that Nigerian Afro-pop singer, Wizkid wrote the entire 'One Dance' hit song and gave it to Canadian superstar, Drake. The singer made the claim while being interviewed by DJ Akademiks on Jamaica’s One Stage TV show. Shortly after, the man in the eye of the storm; Wizkid took to Twitter to deny the claims made by Seyi Shay. However, Seyi Shay has issued an apology, claiming that she was misinformed and spoke based on hearsay.
